Return & Exchange Policy

Effective Date: October 2025

At Sumathi Textile, customer satisfaction is important to us. However, since most of our products are made through traditional weaving and artisan processes, we follow a clear and transparent policy to ensure fairness for both our customers and our weavers.

 Important Note

360° parcel opening video is compulsory to raise any complaint.
Complaints without a proper video will not be accepted under any circumstances.

 Cases Where Return / Exchange Is Accepted

1.      If the product you received is damaged or wrong:

o    Return/exchange will be done at our own cost if the issue is clearly shown in the parcel opening video.

2.      If the quality of the product is not as expected by the customer:

o    An exchange or wallet refund will be provided after deducting applicable shipping charges.

o    The customer must bear the return shipping cost to send the parcel back to us.

o    A shipping charge of ₹40 per product from the original order will also be deducted to cover the dispatch cost already incurred by us.

o    In case of an exchange request, the shipping charges for sending the exchanged parcel to the customer will also be borne by the customer.

o    The remaining balance amount (after deduction) will be added to the customer’s wallet or adjusted against the value of the exchanged product.

o    The final decision regarding refund or exchange rests with the Sumathi Textile team.

3.      Exchange Based on Stock Availability:

o    Exchange will be processed based on stock availability.

o    If the same product is unavailable, the amount (after deduction) will be added to the Sumathi Textile wallet for future orders.

4.      Refund Type:

o    No cash refunds.

o    Refunds will only be processed as store wallet credits or product exchanges, based on team approval.

5.      Complaint Timeframe:

o    All complaints must be raised within 48 hours after delivery.

o    Send your issue details with order ID and parcel opening video via WhatsApp to 8122673322.

6.      Size Exchanges for Readymade Products:

o    Size exchange is possible (based on stock availability).

o    The customer must pay both return and exchange shipping costs.

o    Please refer to our size chart before placing an order.

7.      Order Cancellation:

o    Orders may rarely be cancelled by Sumathi Textile if a product is found damaged during packing or is out of stock.

o    Any such cancellation will be notified, and refund or wallet credit will be processed accordingly.

8.      Unauthorized Returns:

o    Any return sent without prior confirmation will be rejected and shipped back to the customer at their own cost.

9.      Return Parcel Condition:

o    Return parcels must be properly folded, neatly packed, and in good condition.

o    Improperly packed or damaged return parcels will incur additional charges before processing.

No Return / Exchange For

1.      Without a parcel opening video — no complaint will be accepted.

2.      Any defects or damage caused due to customer handling errors.

3.      Quality complaints for products that are handstock, offer collections, verified weaver products, bulk orders/wholesale, or uniform orders, best reviewed products.

4.      Slight color variations (5–10%) due to lighting or device display differences.

o    Only video proof will be accepted for color issues (photos not accepted).

5.      Minor weaving gaps, thread pulls, or small stains caused during the loom process are not considered damage.

6.      Complaints raised after 48 hours of delivery will not be accepted.

Note: The final decision regarding refund or exchange rests with the Sumathi Textile team.

Steps to Follow for Return:

1.      Share your order ID, parcel opening video, and issue details on WhatsApp to 8122673322.

2.      After receiving our confirmation, send the parcel via India Post (not Speed Post) within 2 days, and share the tracking receipt.

3.      Mention your Order ID on the courier cover for faster processing.

4.      Once the return parcel is received and verified, we will initiate your exchange or wallet refund as applicable.

·         Lunch Break: 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM

·         Weekly Off: Sunday
